It supports a wide range of GIS features, including manipulating, displaying, importing and exporting spatial data. Currently, MapE has implemented practically all of the basic GIS features. Unlike other GIS products which are usually shipped as ActiveX components, MapE is a set of C++ classes that can be easily embedded into your programs. Due to its small size, user-friendly interface, high performance and easy portability, MapE greatly simplifies GIS software development.

To date, the reliability and performance of the MapE Library have been tested through many GIS and CAD- related software of MapESoft customers around the World. The MapE Library now used in 25 countries!

The MapE Library can be used for wide range of software applications, such as network planning and management, location-based service, vehicle tracking and navigation, map processing, or other applications that requires mapping capabilities.
