MapESoft JSC is specializing in the development of GIS C++ libraries for Microsoft® Windows. We are always trying to make top quality software as the customer satisfaction is our first priority goal. Most members of our team have extensive experience in telecommunications and information areas, having participated in coding of several network planning software tools and real-time telecommunication systems.

While designing and implementing some applications, we often face a critical issue of spatial data processing: whether we should use available graphical systems or build a new graphical library. Thanks to the development of GIS software which provides both capabilities of displaying graphical objects and processing spatial data, many graphical applications now can simply be solved. Unfortunately, embedding these systems in small or medium applications is somehow complicated  and cumbersome. Moreover, the distribution of such embedded applications is very difficult and much depends on their vendors. For a long time, MapInfo was the our choice because of its convenience and easy-porting ability in compared with other GIS systems. It has been used in some of our applications such as the CCS7 network design, customer access network design, ATM network design tool, etc. However, many difficulties raised when trying to embed it into C++ applications, for example, inflexibility, incompatibility, low performance,  and so on. Eventually, we decided to design and implement our own C++ graphical library, called MapE, that fully supports spatial data operations, graphical display and database management.

The MapE Library is a compact GIS engine which is supposed to be an alternative to other commercial  products like MapInfo MapX and MapXtreme. It is a small-size, high-performance C++ library that enables developers to quickly add many map functionalities to their applications. It provides not only the basic GIS features but also many powerful spatial data processing functions, e.g. very fast polygon boolean operations and graph operations.
